2004 Brings in a new baby!
Star was one of the first mustangs we have adopted and we have had the chance to see her grow into motherhood. Below are pictures of her first born and our first born in 2004.
This happened on Sunday, January 11, 2004 around 7:30- 7:45 am.
As we had planned on making sure Star was comfortable with her baby coming we had moved her to a foaling area. We keep this area with shaving in the stall and open ground unprepared and natural. Below you will see the process we take in helping to assist our mares.

These pictures are taken with night vision. The sun wasn't quite up. "Star" has started her delivery process |

As you can see the baby starts the journey to the new world. |

Star finally lays down and the process speeds up. |

Here you can see the feet are coming out as with the nose. Place close attention to the leg furthest away comes out fully and the closest is not. |

Star senses something wrong and by my watching closely I have already seen the problem. |
