Water

Horses usually take in .025% of Body weight 1,000 x's .25% = 25 pounds per day average, add 10% more winter feeding. The Horses will put on winter weight for heat and heavy coating.  Normally .05 or .075 during winter, average 25 gallons during the summer months without abnormal exercise and winter 35 gallons respectful.  
Cows usually take in .035% of body weight 1,000 x's .35% = 35 pounds average cow weighs 1,500 pounds ='s 50 - 60 pounds per day. Normally .05 or.075during the winter average of 25 gallons to 45 gallons per day.
Deer eat less grass than any. grasses comprise only a very small part of the overall diet of the white-tailed deer, usually less than 10%. Normally water intake in 2 gallons per day. Deer are hardy and frugal. They mostly depend on berries and fruits for water.
Elk consume .03% of body weight average Elk is 800 to 1000 = 30 pounds of fresh tender grass plus tender berries and nuts. Normally water intake is .04 during summer but water can be extracted from berries and fresh water plants.  30 - 40 gallons average all year round.  Can live on no water for days provide vegetation is available.
