This organization is not BLM operated or BLM sponsored. Private wild horse and burro enthusiasts run it with private donations.

We have more Horses on the way. They will be of all sizes, shapes and colors, young old. This horse will available for adoption 3 days after they arrive in Texas. All of these horses will be available for adoption fee from $25.00 - $125.00 plus we can deliver for you. The first 100 miles is $100.00. Extra miles are $2.25 per miles. Mileage may vary depending on area. Mileage starts at the Wild Horse Foundation to your front door step. Over 250 miles requires 50% deposit of delivery fee up front.

We have several young weanlings available, some born as early as January and others being born as we speak and will be up for adoption in 5-6 months. Come look and reserve your now.

Tina and Sundance. He has a new home and a great start. Sundance was adopted at the TSS1 clinic.
Not to be out done, "Killer" 6 week old leopard mix puppy also found him a new home with Sundance.
Killer is missing in action. Please email Tina if you find Killer.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTSAdopter Must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have no prior violations of adoption regulations or convictions of inhumane treatment to animals. Sign affidavits will be allowed.
- Have adopted no more than 6 animals in the past 12 months. Keep no more that 10 animals at one facility at any time.
- Have received ownership papers to all eligible animals previously adopted.
- Be financially able to properly house, feed, and provide veterinary and farrier care for the animal's. References will be verified.
CORRAL
Facilities must meet these requirements and be constructed before your application will be approved:
- Corral with a minimum of 400 square feet (20x20) per animal. Corral should not be too large (more than 50x50), as animals are easier to gentle in smaller corrals.
- All fences and gates must be at least 6 feet high for wild horses over the age of 24 months. Five foot high fences are allowed for horses, yearlings, under 24 months of age. Burros may be kept in 5' fence.
- Fencing material should be at least 2x6 inch wooden planks, rounded pipes, poles, or similar materials that do not pose a hazard to the animal. Small mesh, heavy gauge, woven wire fencing with a 2x6 inch board along the top, center and bottom is acceptable. No barb wire, no electric wire, no T-posts. Once gentled, the animals may be maintained in pastures or in box stalls with daily turnout.
SHELTER
- Run-in shed attached to corral, or box stall in barn attached to corral, allowing animal to move freely between the corral and shelter. Shelter or stall space should be at least 10 X 10 feet per animal.(25% of stall area.) Enclosure on 2 sides.
If you are turning your horses out into the pasture please make sure they have plenty of tree of adult size to get under from the sun and weather.
TRANSPORTATION
- Adopters must provide their own vehicles or make private arrangements.
- Standard, covered stock trailers and horse trailers large enough for 4 or more horses are generally acceptable, contingent on final approval prior to loading. NO 1 or 2 HORSE TRAILERS. No single axle trailers allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- No pick ups or trailers with stock racks.
- Lengthwise and slant-load dividers must be removed.
- NO DROP RAMP TAIL GATES ARE ALLOWED.
PAYMENT
- Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, Visa, or MasterCard. Two (2) forms of identification are required. No check number under 500. Checks will be verified on site for amount.
- The adoption fee is the amount of your winning bid or fee established.
HALTERS AND LEAD ROPES
- Halters and lead ropes must be provided by adopters.
- Halters should be heavy nylon, we recommend no metal, without a panic snap on cheek piece. Lead rope should be 15 feet long for adult horses and 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter of soft cotton or nylon.
YOUR FACILITIES MAY BE INSPECTED PRIOR TO OR AFTER ADOPTION. FACILITIES AND ANIMALS MAY BE INSPECTED AT ANY TIME UNTIL THE OWNERSHIP PAPERS/TITLE IS/ARE ISSUED.
