The fact remains that less than 3% of the America's beef comes off public lands and they are using the entire Federal Land program while wild horses only have protective rights on less that 22% of the federal lands. This leaves the wild horses basically in a box with no where to graze.
If you want the program to change the first thing is to fire the current BLM staff, completely. On court transcripts one BLM employee stated that he knows nothing about wild horses and yet he works in the wild horse division. How can this be, what a BLM employee working in a job he knows absolutely nothing about, at least he was honest so put him to work in the Post Office.
There's many wild horses and only a limited few wild horse groups who actually know the fights over the years. What I see happening today is that more fresh people are coming in but they are refighting last years and the years before fight that many of us have already been there, done that. The BLM loves this fresh idea it keeps them playing the same old play book.
If you want to make a difference start in November by voting out the dead weight and electing new officers, representatives and senators who will listen and work for us the voters who are America. Even idiot Polesi stated that she needs the old politicians to help her to vote in health care and other bogus issues before they get ousted.
You want to make an immediate difference, adopt a wild horse don't talk about it, do it. To keep the Saladbar from opening more public zoos and gathering more wild horses you must show that the need for homes are still there for wild horses. Adopt one take it back out to the public lands and release it. These are our lands not the BLM, they work for us and tell them that. They ask where it is tell them its on your land!

Founders Susan Calhoun President and Ray Field Executive Director of the Wild Horse Foundation have seen too many times that the BLM has in this case of the Calico roundup taken there numbers from local cattlemen or ranchers who "estimated" the number of wild horses. The BLM does not nor have they done any animal studies to show exact numbers of wild horses in any one area. They depend on the ranchers who are since the enemy of the wild horses to fabricate these numbers. As with Calico complex, there target was 2,500 leaving 600 - 900 estimated as a level of survivability then they backed off to 1990 leaving 600. Makes a person thing the BLM was "zeroing" the area out from the being. The thing I can tell you with out hesitation is, if Don Glenn's lips are moving, he's lying. Flat out, no questions. You can go to the bank on it. The Wild Horse Foundation is the largest wild horse adoption group in the nation second only to the BLM and when Don Glenn sent his 6 federal agents here to buy the 4 truck loads of wild horses from John Neal to the Foundation and the agents followed these trucks from as far as New Mexico to the front doors of the Foundation it was a intimidation from the word go but they left on the same road they came with the same information they had to start, nothing. Then Don Glenn refused still to this day to pay my truck drivers for hauling these wild horses from John Neal’s Palomino Valley holding facility saying they never came here when they followed the trucks up my driver way of the foundation. Now, this is BLM corruption at the highest level. I could get you volumes on the stories your not telling in the press on the ways BLM is skimming the wild horse program. Shots, check there inventory order forms against actual shots given on horses, check coggins tests drawn against actual test performed against a vet signature on who performed the coggins and who did the testing and how many of the blood test where of the same blood type, meaning draw one tube of blood and use it in 10 tubes on wild horses. The list goes on. Even if you think Don Glenn didn't do this personally he is the manager over the program and is responsible for the fraud, waste and abuse and corruption in this program. It's okay to cut a budget or increase a budget if you know what it’s for. To increase one for welfare ranchers or more white house jobs is uncalled for. When the BLM sold 2,500 acres of wild horse land northeast of Las Vegas they put that money in the General Fund which would have funded the wild horse program for 10 years without a budget request. The BLM can not submit an inventory list of veterinarian services for wild horses because they use BLM employees who are not degreed in vet medicine and skim on shot doses when short and there for wild horses are not given proper dosages for immunizations. The BLM will sign papers stating the wild horses have had shots and are healthy. We have received many wild horses and when our vets tested for the vaccines in the horses none were tested positive, zero came up with antiserums. They gather in the cold months because if the horses catch a fever the cold weather will hold it down delaying the inevitable sickness. The trust in the BLM program is gone, the few BLM people who do there job are shot down by the many who pencil whip and just show up for there job. Removing wild horse’s only benefits the criminal Cattoor contractor who has been convicted on federal racketeering and fined $500.00 and made $1.2 million on the same wild horse gather. Do the math. Now Cattoor is using his wife to run the Calico Horse gather because she hasn't been convicted of animal cruelty yet but with 26 wild horses dying so far something going to give. See, the BLM is on drugs bad, it's a habit they can't seem to kick, they keep doing the same old thing every year even without the thought of how there going to get the money to support there habit. Well, is the supplier of the drugs and money, they keep letting the dope heads, BLM, do what they want, when they want to get there fix at the cost of hurting the American people. See when the supplier, congress, deals out the drugs- money, BLM becomes invincible. So all the screaming, whining and crying from the stars, singers and groups are falling on deaf ears because as we all know when your looking at someone on drugs, there completely oblivious to whatever your saying and just wanting that next fix.
When former BLM Director Clarke quit the job she front loaded the BLM offices with her bad habits to ensure that wild horses would continue to receive negative treatment. Example Clarke's old assistant is the State Director of Utah and Jeff Rawson the Wild Horse Program Manager is her state assistant giving them a cushy job even when they failed.

The cattlemen have continually increase the animal unit allotment now to over 160 cows to 1 wild horse and claim its the 1 wild horse destroying the land. The BLM in 2007 spent $135,000,000. Million to up keep the land for cattlemen an collected only $125,000,000. Million in lease fees making the BLM a bankrupt business. When the BLM sold 2,500 acres of land just north of Las Vegas for $650,000,000. They put this money into the general fund when it was the wild horse land they sold and money should have gone to protect these animals not there Washington salaries. Don Glenn of the BLM stated that 49% of the BLM budget is for fat salary office workers in Washington Office so I'm confused how wild horses graze in downtown Washington? Fat meaning people fat, over weight and lazy enough not to care about what there job actually is.

As Founders, both Susan Calhoun and Ray Field of the Wild Horse Foundation (WHF) there goal has been to place wild horses and burros into homes. Having MOU's with the National Park Service and agreements with other agencies the number job is to ensure that is the government is going to recklessly remove these legacies off of our lands then they need to stay free on lands. The WHF has dealing with pipeline companies as it’s in the middle of the largest natural gas field in Texas. They want to work with a 50’ right of way restoring the land and reseeding and fertilizing it to grow grasses to the native area. Not once have they moved a cow, deer, raccoon or rabbit.
Look on yesterdays front page of the Wall Street Journal folks, 10 13, you will see a picture of a wild horse and the mountains, symbolizing that they want the hills for the winds for the wind-gen installation capabilities and this is why they want complete clearance. Wild Horses don't come around people or construction so why remove them. As I stated before and I say it again, what it boils down to is plain and simple. Bt the way it's only fitting my choice of words when the BLM sent 6 Federal Armed Agents to the Wild Horse Foundation to intimidate me, Ray Field, because the job we are doing to help place these wild horses into homes. These showed up at 1:30 am on a Friday night. They couldn't have been there to adopt? When the BLM can't control you they will do everything to crush you and ruin you as they have so many other smaller groups. They did it to the Cloud Herd just to flex there muscles, nothing more. See, BLM needs to convince Congress that there is no other way for the wild horses and burros to go but to sell. They had a partnership with an outfit in Nevada and they had to shut down just prior to Clark County D.A. indicting them on embezzlement of funds and then this new group popped up in south-central Texas marketing an adoption program for the BLM. Because of the work we have done here at the Wild Horse Foundation the BLM had to find another source even if it meant in 2009 they would give this other group an additional $800,000.00 to launder to promote the wild horse program since its own marketing program fails to do so. The BLM has never ever offered or spent one dime with our organization and yet they single source, with-out bidding this marketing of wild horses. There are volumes to be seen and spoken here about the BLM program and its about mismanagement that Congress has already directed the BLM to fix but the BLM doesn't want to fix it because then they would have to go to work. For the few BLM employees I know that do work in the wild horse program there work is drug down by the dead beats that just are there to draw a pay check. I didn't realize that the U. S. government was corporate America so why can't we just fire these dead beats. The BLM is front loaded heavy with employees from other departments who can’t be moved or ran off from other areas and this is one key issue why it doesn’t work. Take a poll and find out how many BLM wild horse employees actually don’t know anything about wild horses, handling, where they come from, how many HMA’s, etc, they would fail drastically. Lobbyists line the pockets of congress and senators so they can let others think they will help change the rules or legislature that would protect the wild horses and burro. The bottom line they just keep donating money to the fat cats to keep them soliciting money from people who don't any better. The present Calico wild horse gather is being done on private lands because the BLM does not have to allow the public onto these lands because they don’t own these lands. It’s a tactic. It was stated not once but twice in the news media coverage interview that if someone was to fly a helicopter in the area while they were doing the gathers they would have to shut down the gather and reschedule it some other time, hence forth as I have stated many times, the BLM does not own the airspace so go get a plane or helicopter and fly around and film the gather to ensue the gather is being be done lawfully. No animals being ran into hills, rock or creeks or cliffs.
The BLM is motivated by money from congress and until this “fix” is stopped they will continue to operate like a mad man without reason to why. All too often have I personal seen the BLM find homes for these "3 Strike" wild horses knowing that the BLM themselves were looking for a death sentence on the very sanctuaries they were kept on. The BLM used FORD Motor money to entice people like Jason Meduna to take these wild horses and with that Meduna pays $10.00 and receives $100.00 for every 3 Strike horses he receives. But what the BLM doesn't tell him, you or I is that when these horses come from the holding facility your suppose to get a healthy, well looked over horse and this is far from the reality of what is happening. Even today the BLM is gathering 2,500 wild horses and now admitting to bypassing the very facility, Palomino Valley, Nevada, that caused the sickness in disease that Meduna's wild horses had to be spread by moving the new wild horses to another facility due to outbreak in 2007 of the disease never being cured.
The question is the BLM took 1 wild horse from Meduna at the beginning of this game and to save face the Prosecutor had to do something to justify her action and tens of thousands of dollars in this insanely move. They promoted Alan Shepherd to Nevada as wild horse lead person.
Let's agree that Meduna was over his head but you don't kick a dog after its ran over and then pick it up and take it to the vet to put it down. Every stupid domestic horse organization that ran out of domestic issues ran to this in order to cut there teeth into wild horse issues and al they did was made a mockery of the wild horse issues.
Even by photographic evidence by the Prosecution you could not find 70 dead wild horses, enough 3rd party people walked this land and could see these numbers. Well you could if you counter pieces of wild horses.
The facts are that Meduna took sick and diseased wild horses from the BLM and the BLM has not denied this. Period. The facts are that the BLM still today are looking for ways to hide sick and diseased wild horses so that congress can not find out that the wild horses are not getting the care they are suppose to by the very ones that are suppose to Protect them.
It's incompetent animal cruelty investigative works that lead to this. They came in played on the emotion that they wanted the Sheriff to go along with a crisis and instead of the Sheriff leading the investigation he got lead down a witch hunt.
At best Meduna is guilty of having volunteers who did not have the land or training to have wild horses so they came in and ran him like they wanted and it cost him. Not one other organization leads from the bottom up. He should have put his foot in these so called volunteers and took more control. It is his land, his organization and his responsibility when someone else does something wrong but it is not his fault when the BLM send him sick horses and states on the claim you have health certificates and coggins and they state the wild horses are good.
In the State of Texas the law read that each horse must have a coggins, and the BLM uses a session sheet with 30 numbers on it and you don't know if one horse was tested or all were and this is why the test are illegal and Meduna's wild horses are sick and diseased.

By doing this makes these no longer wild horses and the public can not have open access to federal property claims as to what is "ours" Americans and what is not. What ever the United States Government has or control of is open to the public for inventory including the wild horses. If anyone adopts a wild horse and it has NOT been titled yet then you have the RIGHT to request where that government property is, by location including city, state and zip code. The BLM claims it never goes on private lands because its illegal to do so but for years they have been pushing wild horses onto private lands to keep there numbers down and now its has come to bite them in the rump. There’s volumes to written on the BLM and every whiskey singer, moon walker, and piano player wants to jump on the BLM to confuse the domestic horse slaughter issues with the wild horse issues which are protected by federal law from slaughter. This is why the wild horse issue is being so watered down and ignored now because the domestic horse issue got trashed and now they want to ruin our legacy and kill it. Your comparing millions of domestic horses to only 60,000 wild horses and burros, sort of like fleas on an elephant, if these domestic groups didn't run out of money on there own now there trying to come into another yard and try and get ours what little this is. THE BLM, commonly known as the Bureau of logging and mining in the real world not Bureau of Land Management because not one person can find what they actually manage has lost more creditability using over 49% of there budget in the White house, Washington Staff payroll per Don Glenn. The BLM leases these lands and more to the cattlemen for a lose no doubt. 160 cows to 1 wild horse so true. What the bigger picture is the wild horses stay on the land 365 days a year and then the cattlemen graze there land down to dirt and then turn there cows out on the lease land that the wild horses are on and eat it to dirt while there land is replenishing leaving all life forms to starve during the summer and fall and winters months because the cattlemen are "over grazing he land" not utilizing the lands as stewards of the land. They pennies to kill America and then our government finish the kill off by stating that the wild horses are over grazing the land. How do you graze something that isn't there? Look at it this way, a horse as 1 stomach and reseeds the land as it walks miles and a cow as numerous stomachs and redigests the seeds and forage so that nothing but liquid grass drops leaving nothing to re-do the land with. So its simple we eat beef because it’s broken down we don't horses because they replenish the grasses for the beef over the lands. I'm not a tree hugger and I like my beef but I love my horses so I don't have to walk to work. There needs to be a grazing plan to maintain the lands to keep vegetation control. Hey Doc, here's a clue, the BLM will let a TITLED BLM wild horse go to slaughter still today, because its not U. S. Property any longer. Wild Horse groups don't have there act together because there divided into 3 groups, the Loggers blog, meaning there in the bleachers watching the game commenting on what they see, The Players, us adoptions groups that actually place wild horses into homes and do compliance checks to assist and follow up to help, then the Coaching staff or documentaries who want to look good on film and claim there fame and take money to make films. While all 3 want to do something then there the owners, BLM who decided that what’s best is nothing to do with the 3 after all cause the 3 want work together to benefit the problem. If your memory would serve the Palomino Holding Facility is the most contaminate facility in the system. For many years its consistency for strangles outbreaks and salmonella are steady. As recent as 2007, with Jackson Mountain Horse having been diseased and sick in August 07 and the Palomino facility because quarantine for disease and not allowed to be decontaminated reopened within 90 days and shipped horses out across the country to unsuspecting adopters during the cold months when the sickness lays dormant. Stress from shipping, commonly called shipping fever then pops up and the adopters has a sickness they thinks is there fault, when the BLM does not give shots for this. This is one reason why the BLM is shipping all the Calico horses to the Fallon facility, due to Palomino Facility never ever being cleared of the diseases it has. Things to consider, tech side wise, planes are cheap, fly over the area, photograph the work. BLM does own the air space and the 500 foot rule applies and zoom lenses can solve this problem. Don't let the mountain stop the ants! They made the media day at there convenience so make your day at yours and go look. Surely you have resources so pool them and use them. The bloggers, blog and don't place wild horses in-homes, the money hungry groups raise money and cry about there need, the actually groups that place wild horses in homes are to busy placing wild horses in homes so we can't blog or cry because we're trying to keep the wild horses from being killed in the wrong hands of the private ranchers being stomped to death on top of each other in long term holding pens. We have seen many adopters turn over after the title period due to economic issues. For the record, Palomino Holding Facility (PHF) has the worst health record in the history of the nation and program since is inception. This is why the Fallon facility was opened. The PHF has never been cleared from the salmonella outbreak in 07 and from the strangles out breaks its spreads ever year. The BLM crew states they do there job and don't administer policy but they enforce policy and policy dictates health and welfare. Its a direct violation of federal law to spread a biohazard contamination on to trucks that ship livestock across the nation, across state lines that can contaminate other livestock or livestock operations. One of the BLM favorite trucking buddies that delivers wild horses to us we enforce the cleaning out of the trucks on our facility to prevent cross contamination every time. Why not just Google Earth or use the USDA web site to count the wild horses or livestock on the land. The government uses this avenue to tax your land, see if you’re building on your property for tax assessment purposes so use the same tool against them. It will show exact numbers of horses, cattle or deer or what ever your looking for down to 100 feet including the sink in the back yard patio. No the BLM does not own the air space there using to gather the wild horses, and I doubt there has been a flight plan filed because that makes it public record and you could find out when and where there are gathering. Even commercial air traffic has the 500/1000 feet ceiling height rule as any pilot knows these rules. As Executive Director of the Wild Horse Foundation I have the privilege of seeing the thousands of emails and opinions of the people who want to help and then those that think they're helping. My point is that when they wanted to close the slaughter plants here in Texas and the one in Illinois the domestic issue was mute and it took to long for the domestic horse groups to try and get there job done. Moving that they first starting stating they the horses can not be slaughtered they are protected by the Wild Horse and Burro act mixing the emotions of the domestic issue with the wild horse issues so that the public unknowingly would not know the difference and cry fowl and try to seek protection under the wild horse and burro act, claiming it protects all horses. . The next thing you read was the word "wild" was dropped from the domestic language and now those domestic groups are trying to cut there teeth into the wild horse issues thinking they know the issues that for years the wild horse groups have been fighting for which in life perspective they don't have a clue. The issues as you read the email comments and notes remarks to the current issues are repeated remarks that have been stated for years, nothing moving forward because not one single wild horse group wants to join another in a unity effort for the better of the wild horse issues. The BLM knows this as the Delphi technique and uses this against the wild horse groups and in actuality the BLM doesn't have to lift a finger because the wild horse groups self-destruct themselves. Too many egos and to many directions when if it could be solidified by joining efforts without egos but one direction in goal. This will not happen. Year after year, movie star, singer, whatever they keep coming out of the woodwork but yet the BLM stands fast because its controlled by congressional power on paper, change the wording, change the leadership, change the direction and then you have your answer. You must demolition the Taylor Grazing Act period, its outdated and discriminatory. As the leader in adoption of wild horses second only to the BLM and as long as we keep placing these into homes the BLM can not state as they have been trying to Congress we have no homes and we must evoke the 3rd rule of the wild horse and burro act. The BLM does have new lease land for the east yet so why not take the money purposed in this and pay people to adopt these steeds of our land and have them in good homes. I wonder how many of you realize that HSUS has been involved with the BLM in a fertility study program using PZP. This is a drug that is made one pill at a time, for consistency reason is not accurate by means that its a one pill formula, if the temp changes, humidity changes or ingredients change 1/1000ths its usage changes for accuracy but yet HSUS will state they have a national horse birth control program going on when BLM records shows only 185 horses total last reported records that’s less than .8 of a horse per herd area, with 195 herd management areas. So it’s again by who getting paid and who's padding the wallets of the BLM and congress, so the cattlemen and HSUS all want federal pay checks because donated dollars are falling and the crying games or emotions are not working so now its back to what the law states. Protection under the wild horse and burro act is just that, we should not have the same guards killing off the wild horses as guarding them. Too many foxes in the white house make it very hard to know who is actually on the wild horse’s side. Let’s move the BLM offices out in trailers on the ranges next to the nice line shacks the cattlemen call working huts or line houses! We all have to go to work in our work areas so time to move the boys and girls out into there offices. Getting back to the focus of this story, with more wild horses in private ranch control on private lands the BLM can keep the public from seeing our heritage and legacy, so what about the public availability to see these when we want, its our right to ask to see our property as citizens of this country. The private ranchers tell you have to call the BLM and the BLM tells you its up to the private contractor so there you are. They have removed the wild horses and are killing them off because no one can go in and take an inventory of the facility, we're suppose to just take the BLM's word that they say these wild horses are there. So where are they putting these 2,500 over the next 2 months, adoptions are down right? This means over crowding in the holding pens? Wild horses stepping on each other and hurting other? Why hasn't a federal estoppels order been sought to stop the gather under the conditions of the snow covered rocks, creeks and cliffs that would harm the wild horses being gathered as we speak? Is there no snow where these are being gathered? The order would temporarily stop the gather but it would give time to plan another way to stop the gather. Visit www.wildhorsefoundation.org

Susan Calhoun President and Ray Field Executive Director and Founders of the Wild Horse Foundation (WHF) have been the leaders in placing wild horses into adoptive homes in America. As long as the BLM continues to ignore congress by following set rules by congress in 1971 it does not matter what today’s congress wishes. Only congress can change the rules on gathers and leasing the lands. The WHF shows that there are adoptive homes for wild horses because if it didn't the BLM would invoke the 3rd rule on the wild horse and burro act and kill all the wild horses because they don't have homes for them and can not afford to care for them. As the only non-profit organization in the country dedicated to preserving the wild horses and burros by placing these on the sanctuary and into homes the public needs to support the WHF until congress gets its act together and changes the laws to protect these wild horses. Congress needs to change the Taylor grazing act which controls the lease of federal lands to cattlemen for cattle and would restore the land back to wild horse and burro rightful use. The BLM does not listen to taxpayers who own the land because taxpayers do not make the rules governing the BLM of Wild Horse and Burro issues. In order to stop this extinction of wild horses in America the people need to vote out the current politicians and vote in people with the ability to listen to the needs not wants of the American people. The Wild Horse Foundation is the largest wild horse adoption non-profit organization in the U.S. Every year the WHF finds homes for the wild horses. Without the support of the public and finding homes the BLM would convince congress that no other alternative exists for the wild horses. The WHF proves that managing and maintaining a good program is the only viable option for the wild horses until the laws are changed to prevent more over grazing by the cattlemen. Less that 2.6% of America’s beef comes off of federal lease land and under the Taylor Grazing act from the 30's these ranchers keep these lands tied up in beef uses. It's embarrassing to know how people do not know anything about the wild horse issues and the governments’ tactics. The congressional law is one thing, but look at the way the job is being performed and if they are breaking the law to do there job then file charges against the BLM employees, they are not immune from prosecution. The truck drivers can be over loaded weight wise, log books out of date, there are many way ways to check and balance this operation. I'm no tree hugger but if you want to take the forest down you have to do it one tree at a time. These are people doing jobs that are against humanity so treat them like they are inhumane by watching there actions and reporting all illegal activities. NOT ALL TRUCKS leaving gathers go to holding facilities. In order to catch them you need 3 cars, 1 to follow and then to drop off and fuel up and then 2nd car gets fuel and catches up and follows 3rd car fuels up, the only way to follow them. visit: www.wildhorsefoundation.org

The DOI-BLM has been determined by congress over the years to be the worst ran government agency and has been ordered to reorganize itself to manage better. This simple act shows that in its attempt to steal America's legacy they have now gone to greater lengths to deface the integrity of what was left of little face they had. You have to understand that this whole wild horse issue is about cattlemen and power and money like everything else. To change the wild horse issue you have to have congress eliminate the TAYLOR GRAZING ACT. When the government as in the real world picks on animals people are next.
