Wild Horse Foundation offers Micro-Chipping for your Horses

Every horse that is adopted through the foundation will  be micro-chipped as a safety precaution. Micro chipped horses in general are better protected due to the many agencies that are notified, in Texas all 33 brand inspectors and both slaughter facilities are notified immediately.  The Wild Horse Foundation is the first facility to offer this protection.   According to Ray Field, Executive Director of the foundation, "Prevention is the key to protection, knowing that each and every adopted horse will have added protection from being sold to slaughter".  Anyone having a wild horse from the foundation and upon inspection if the horse is missing, immediate notification is posted and criminal charges for horse theft are filed."

 The foundation can offer you these services for a fee of $40.00 per horse, or over 5 horses $35.00 and can be done easy, effectively and fast.  Help prevent your horse from being stolen and never found.

Over 225 wild horse through the foundation have been chipped as of today, 7-10-05, with more to be done in the coming months and weeks.
