Bunk House

We are in our Phase 3 expansion project.   This project will consist of 24 stalls, 24' x 36'  with 3 alley ways.  The end of this holding arena will be 2 -  40'  round pens connected with a 12' ride through gate so that the horse or burros will have a free flow through facilty when moving and sorting.

The cantilever covers for this project will cost $35,000.00. This will provide 25% covered area for all stalls. (covered 8' x 24' per stall)

The cost for this temporary holding facility is $75,830.00.   This will include  24 - 100 gallon water troughs, panels, set-up.

Total for Project $110,830.00  All Proceeds to this project will be available for inspection on-line via a secure code for those contributing over $1000.00.

(We have 1/4th of this project completed as of June 9, 2005) Thank You.

see pictures here....

The estimated feed cost, hay,  per day per horse is 25 lbs. x's  300 = 7500 lbs or 3.75 tons per day.   Cost is $65.00 per roll or 1600 lbs. or 5 rolls per day ='s $325.00 per day to feed.  (Hay is higher in 06 up to $110.00 in Mineral Wells and as low as  $75.00 in Bryan and in 07 the price should be closer to normal ranges around $55.00 to 65.00 per round bale.) This does not include hauling.  Add this up and expected duration of days to hold is 60 days.

We will have every horse or burro adopted gentled, haltered, leading, feet worked for ferrier service and trailer loading before each will go to a new home.   This saves the adopter the expense of purchasing additional 6' high panels or building their facility to meet adoption for wild horse and burro's.   By us providing this we can ensure that the new home and adopter can immediately handle there horse or burro.

We will have entered into our phase of adoption procedures.   Our new adoption procedure will simply be as follows.   Once the new adopter comes and picks out their horse or burro and completes the necessary paper work,  we will then separate their adoptee and begin work gentling.   We hen can offer the adopter a 2 week period to come back and pick up their new adoptee and take it home.   Of course we will always allow the adopter to take there wild horse or burro home if they can provide us with the knowledge they can safely, gently train their horse.

While we are a growing project to help to protect the wild horses and burros we will do everything we can to protect horses as long as we have your support.  It has been a long road to building the foundation and having the only "One of Kind" training facility that will house and protect our heritage as we go into the future.  We ask for your support in any amount by either cash, money orders, personal checks, visa or master card.
